Voting Question: How much money should I ask for my car with blown head gaskets?
by admin on Mar.08, 2010, under Air Conditioner
It’s a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero WITH BLOWN HEAD GASKETS (it costs $2500 to fix at a shop and is only worth $2,800 in “good condition”)
- has CD player/brand new air conditioning/spoiler/sunroof/automatic windows/automatic seats
Miles - 118,148
3 total owners, all within the family
-still have original car manuals
good exterior - small amount of rust under both car doors, driver side fog light missing, but not too noticeable
good interior - but passenger side seat does not recline
Latest additions to the car (all receipts in the glove box):
New air conditioner compressor - 5/28/09
New temperature sensor - 5/7/2009
New PCN computer and programming, relay assembly, water pump = 5/15/09
New spark plugs, left and right front wheel bearings, front/rear break pads and rotors = 7/26/08 at 98,500 miles
Triple A battery installed - 9/15/07
oh.. i forgot to mention.. i’m going to try selling it because i don’t think it’s worth it to fix it for $2500.
