Air Conditioning

i have a LG 1tr split air conditioner fitted in my room and a godrej ac in another room thats also 1 tr I wana know whether these AC’s circulate the same air which is present inside the room or it takes fresh air from outside. the rooms are fully closed and air packed so if a power failure occurs.. will we have suffocation?(had not happened yet)
i want to know whether we are breathing the same air which we have exhaled

An air conditioner is left running on a table in the middle of the room, so none of the air that passes through the air conditioner is transferred to outside the room.

Does the passing air through the AC affect the temp. of the room? (Ignore the thermal effects of the motor running the compressor)

Taking the compressor motor into account, what would happen to the temp. of the room?

I think it is by Dean Kootz or Stepen King Someone like that, I read it along time ago but this detective is trying to solve these weird murders and it turns out there from these creatures that travle through the air conditioner vents and has to do with voodo magic to . can you help?
