Resolved Question: How to remove mold from Air Conditioner ducts? Bleach?
by admin on Jan.08, 2010, under Air Conditioner
About 3 months ago, we had our air conditioner ducts cleaned by some company, they did it for like $70, which included a lb of freon (which was low). Long story short, they claimed the found mold in the air ducts. I did see them do a swab test, and the test seemed to indicate there was a slight bit of mold, but that was in the AC drip pan.
I bought several mold test kits from home depot and did air quality tests, only had one mold spore.
Question is, if I wanted to kill any mold that might be lurking in the AC ducts, what can I use? would a bleach/water mixture sprayed into the AC while running work? Obviously everyone would have to be away for me to do that.
Help?
