Air Conditioning

I’m living in an apartment in California where the weather temperature right now is 95, give or take a few. Last Thursday my A/C died, so I’ve been without a/c since then. Maintenance has attempted to find the parts to replace it but after spending all day going to different places, he came up with… nothing. The manager is too difficult to get a hold of. I did get a hold of her Friday evening before she went home and she said, Well legally we have 3 business days to complete this issue.

My apartment is an oven. The last two days the temp inside was 97. I have a 12-month old baby who has stopped eating because of this excessive heat and now is getting heat rashes. I take her out to my car several times a day for the air conditioner there. All in all, I haven’t slept in 2 days because in the morning it feels like you can’t breathe. And the landlord says, Oh well, I’ll try my best to find out what’s going on. And does nothing. The maintenance guy said he will ask if he can order a new A/C but this will take another 3-4 days starting monday.

I need serious help! I was thinking of going to the PD and asking for advice, because I cannot do this any longer. I had to call in sick at work because this has affected my health and now they’re mad at me too.
